Bitcoin Leads Long Trader Liquidations

According to CoinGlass data, the largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance, involving the BTCUSDT pair and valued at $201.31 million.

Over the past 24 hours, Bitcoin liquidations totaled $444.41 million, with long traders who had bet on a price rise bearing the majority of the losses. Long positions accounted for approximately $415.73 million, while short positions faced $28.68 million in liquidation. Ethereum saw similar trends, with long traders losing $240.79 million and shorts $56.87 million, bringing total Ethereum liquidations to $297.66 million over the same period.

Solana experienced $52.73 million in liquidations, predominantly affecting long traders. XRP liquidations reached $22.77 million, with $21.14 million from long positions and $1.63 million from short positions. Other cryptocurrencies including DOGE, WIF, and AAVE also faced notable liquidations.

The liquidation heatmap highlights Bitcoin as the main driver of the selloff, reflecting the tendency of most digital assets to follow Bitcoin’s price movements. Bitcoin recently fell below $105,000, wiping out nearly $170 billion from its market capitalization. At press time, Bitcoin had partially recovered to $105,291.77, still 1.56% lower than 24 hours ago—a closely watched development by traders.
